Arrow 4X11: A.W.O.L.

So, Felicity is home and is having hallucinations of her former self. She's afraid that she's no longer useful to the team, as her brain is her asset, and there is a lot going in there right now. (Plus, again, hallucinating). She tells Oliver she's not ready to get back to work yet, but while they are out dealing with a crisis, and in need of her help, Oliver calls and asks anyway. However, while she's working on security systems, her former self shows up and badgers her to the point where she makes a mistake and almost get Dig killed. He's fine, but this just reinforcers her thinking that she can't do this anymore.

John and Lyla are having a date night when a former ARGUS agent comes up to them and tells him he's been made and to tell Waller. He, and two other agents get kidnapped. Turns out, by the time the team gets to them, they are all dead, but it was really just a distraction to break into ARGUS and convince Amanda to give them access codes to something called Rubicon. When she won't help, they shoot her, and move on to Lyla. Long story short, John and Andy devise a plan that manages to buy them enough time for Oliver and Co to come and help out. Turns out, Felicity is part of the plan. And once she pushes old Felicity away, turns out, she's just fine with doing her job.

We get some flashbacks of John and Andy in the service and find out that Andy was doing shady deals back then, and John even suspected it. Turns out, one of the other not so on the up and up soldiers, is the guy who was in charge when Oliver went to the island the second time. But, either way, it looks like maybe Andy is coming around. John invites him into his house and introduces him to Sara at the end of the episode.

At the end of the episode, Felicity shows Oliver a picture of her old self and tells him that she's happy with the life she has now. Oliver tells her he's going to find a way to heal her. He's not saying they live in denial or anything, but they've seen crazier shit happen in their lives. This is all well and good, but if I'm Felicity, I might be a little concerned that Oliver is not willing to accept me if I can't walk anymore. I don't think that's what happening here, but it might still hurt my feelings slightly.

Felicity finally gets her codename- Overwatch. And yeah Felicity doesn't think that Oliver wants to help her because he has issues accepting her with her injuries. She (and we) know he would never have that issue

I don't actually think this is true either. But it just feels like it might sit in the back of Felicity's mind. Mostly because I think it might sit in the back of mine if I were in this position. But, that said, I really think Oliver would be fine if this was life now. But, I really appreciate you telling me this is not the case. I would not consider it a spoiler, at all, but something that is just fundamentally important to the character ❤️

Just to clarify, that is definitely not what's happening here. Oliver in no way ever felt this, nor did Felicity ever feel like Oliver wanted to heal for himself . Felicity was the one having trouble accepting it. He wanted to do it for her.
