Outlander 7X6: Where the Waters Meet

Um, I stayed up until about 2am last night reading Outlander fan fic, and now everything is scrambled in my head. Hopefully, this description makes sense. 🤣

So, our group gets ashore, and Jamie has them head to the woods. One of the women refuses to get off the boat because she's afraid of Ian. Sister lady convinces her that Ian is fine and they head off. However, they almost immediately hear whooping and what sounds like Indian cries, so Jamie gets them to hide, while Ian goes to check it out. Turns out the British imitating the Indians to try to draw them out. As long as they stay where they are, they should be safe.

But, the girl who was afraid to get off the boat is missing, so Claire goes to look for her. She finds her pretty quickly, but the girl claims she's can't do this, and shoots herself in the head. I guess the noise alerted the troops and Claire is captured and taken prisoner (of course she is).

Jamie and Ian devise a plan to get her out. But Claire seems to be doing just fine. She's ordering the soldiers around and tending to the sick. She seems to be able to come and go as she pleases from the 'jail.'

Eventually, however, Ian infiltrates, and tries to tell Claire the plan, but they are interrupted by William who is immediately suspicious that the two of them know each other and come from the same place. Eventually, Ian (or maybe Claire I can't remember which) confesses and after a bit of back and forth, William decides to help them escape.

Afterwards, they head a camp where some other rebels are and Jamie is recruited to be an a marksmen team (or something like that), which means, they are basically in this war. No going to Scotland any time soon. Claire says she didn't expect him to be able to leave the fight any way, and she's grateful because if he's a sniper, he'll be further away from the action and therefore, safer.

Back at Lallybroch, Roger is teaching some Gaelic classes. And one of Brianna's coworkers shows up and he read some of Roger's book on the time travel stuff. He also invited himself to dinner. What's up with this dude? Something, right? Also, Roger catches a guy looking in his windows (after one of the kids told them they saw someone to it to) and I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to know who it is, but I have no idea. I even went back and rewatched, but I still have no idea. But I'm pretty sure I should.
