Wildfire 2X5: Family Matters

So, Matt is playing both sides. However, I do believe he's actually playing both sides fairly. (Although, that last minute advice that he gave to Dani's jockey was the opposite of the advice that he gave to Kris, but I just thought it was they were different horses, but I could be wrong). And with Matt training both Wildfire and Picaro, he got them to place first and second. That's a hell of an accomplishment, I feel like.

The odds on Wildfire are 4 to 1. Everyone is excited. Jean is a little frosty to Dani, but honestly, she shouldn't be. It's Ken she doesn't like. No Dani. And Matt is one she should be upset with. Dani just needed a good trainer and hired one. When he agreed to do it, he didn't realize that Picaro and Wildfire would be going in the same race.

Regardless, it's the two of them and Kris, following Matt's advice (which is making Jean super nervous in the stands), just manages to edge out Picaro at the last second. So Wildfire wins!

Meanwhile, Junior and club are doing well. However, when he takes Isabelle to show her how great it is doing, they walk in to find the entire thing completely destroyed from a burst pipe. And they have no insurance. Junior is convinced that his dad didn't allow the insurance company to insure him. Either way, it's gonna cost about $60,000, that he doesn't have. However, Isabelle offer to invest the $60,000. Junior is thrilled and grateful.

The next day, at the race, Isabelle calls her accountant and tells him to cut her a check for the money. He informs her that she knows she's broke and has been broke for a year. She tells him to just cut the check and money will be in her account by the weekend. Then she goes to Ken, and tells him that if he gives her $500,000 she'll get out of his life and get Junior to move back home. (I didn't even realize he wanted Junior to move back home). My question is, if he gives her this money, is she actually gonna give Junior the money she promised, or just run with the half a million? I feel like since she already told her accountant to cut a check, she probably will, but she has not established herself as a trustworthy person.
