Outlander 7X3: Death Be Not Proud

So we start this episode with Brianna and Roger, which is exactly what I did not want. But, it turned out it was just fine. This was mostly about Claire and Jamie and Roger and Brianna just got us into the story. A chest is delivered that is addressed to Jemmy and it's 200 years old. Claire and Jamie wrote a bunch of letter (and sent them some gold as well, I think) and then saved them until they were sure Brianna and Roger were back to their time. Oh, and Mandy is fine.

Anyway, the big house was destroyed in the explosion, by Claire and Jamie make it out fine. And they already have a place picked out for the new house. With the war brewing, Jamie thinks that this might be his last opportunity to get Ian back to his parents, so they decide to head home to Scotland for awhile. I did not realize we would be leaving in this episode, but at the end, they are riding off to (wherever you got to get a ship to Scotland).

Lizzie is pregnant again, and super sad that Claire and Jamie are leaving, especially right about Brianna and Roger left. But Claire is busy teaching her how to heal people so the ridge will still have a healer while she's away.

Jamie takes the gold that Mr. Bug stole and ends up melting some of it down into spheres and covering them in ash (?) and sends some to Roger and Brianna. Then, he and Claire hide the rest in a cave that only Jemmy knows about. In one of the letters, they tell Brianna and Roger that is they should ever need it, Jemmy knows how to find it. And I just wondered this right now, but do you think they'll use it to try to buy Lallybroch?

I wonder if the rest of this season will be us traveling to, and arriving in Scotland, and then the second half will be getting back and preparing for war. Also, if that's the case, I'd say S8 is the war, but we spent pretty much all of S2 leading up to Culloden, so who knows?
