Friday Night Lights 5X4: Keep Looking

Okay, so I know I spent a lot of time talking about Buddy Jr. was just a typical teenager, but maybe I was wrong. This does seem to be a little bit worse than that. However, I do not buy for one second that he went from the way he was acting to 'yes sir-ing Eric' in one day. I need way to believe this. He breaks into Buddy's bar, gets drunk in the middle of the day, steals his credit card and his car, and the next day agrees to join the football team even thought he doesn't like or know how to play football? I just can't get behind it.

Becky's dad is coming back and demands that she come back home. She tries to say no, but he's not having any of it. Mindy agrees to drive her over, but when she sees how terrible her dad and step mom are, she tells Becky she can stay with them indefinitely.

Even though it seemed like Vince and his dad had a shaky kind of truce last episode, that seems to be over. He's spends most of the episode upset with him. Towards the end, he breaks into his apartment to search for drugs. When he finds none, he makes his dad promise not to let his mom anywhere near the stuff, and again they try to make amends.

Speaking of Vince, things are not going well between him and Jess. He's desperate for her to quit her job, but she loves and wants to keep it. Plus, it'll look great on a resume, as it seems like she wants to do something football related in the future. They end up at a stalemate and Vince walks away.

Luke ends up getting 6 tickets for the TMU game and he invites a bunch of the team including Vince. When we get there, Vince is pulled aside and taken to the head coaches office. I'm not actually sure if this really happened. I know we definitely saw it, but it also kind of looked like a dream sequence. I THINK it happened for real, but I wouldn't be shocked if we found out later it was a daydream or something.
