Yes, I realize this isn't supposed to go up until Tuesday, but Happy Saturday! This was my favorite episode of the season and you get it early. ❤️
Ugh. I'm so upset. I mean, we knew as soon as Tim was happy and Billy had the baby that this is where we were gonna end up, but I'm still sad. I don't want Tim in jail for all of S5! Maybe we'll get a nice long time jump, and S5 will be after he's gotten out. Or, he'll get a super short sentence. A girl can dream, right?
Anyway, so Tim and Billy are looking at somewhere between 1-5 years. Mindy is freaking out, and Billy is upset. So, Tim decides to take the fall (like we knew he would, but I'm still pissed about it). He does a bit of a goodbye/apology tour, and then at the end of the episodes, turns himself in.
Matt's back, and neither Julie or Landry are super happy about it. He's acting like he didn't just ditch and completely cut them out of his life for months. But eventually, they both forgive him. He asks Julie to come to Chicago with him for the weekend, but she declines and they break up. (I thought they were already broken up, but okay).
Tami does not apologize. Huzzah! I was really concerned that she might cave under the pressure and there was zero reason for her to apologize. However, they want to put her on administrative leave for six months. With pay. Girl, take that! But she asks instead if she can move over to East Dillion and head up the counseling department there.
And now, to the best part of the episode; game day. So, it's East Dillion vs. West Dillion, and even though we're the home team, we're playing on their turf. We score early, but Landry misses the PAT. After that, Eric goes for two every time they score leaving poor Landry on the bench. We get down, we claw back. Eric eventually relents and let's Luke play, but he gets hit hard and ends up out of the game anyway. And then we need Landry for the win. Yes. Landry. With just seconds left, and down by two, we need a LONG field goal. Landry has never hit anything like this. But somehow (mostly because it's TV), he manages and wins the game for the team.
This is delightful for Landry since Jess broke up with him earlier in the episode because she still has feelings for Vince. Plus, Matt was there to watch and the two of them reconcile as well. Matt offers him Julie's plane ticket, and they head to Chicago.
