Fergus! Remember when we used to love you? Don't you wanna go back to that place? I'm really hoping that this is the end of issues with Fergus. I know he's promised Marsali before that he's finished drinking and he did not follow through on that, so his word doesn't really mean a lot right now, but I'm really hoping this is a turning point. Especially after the conversation he had with Claire. I can see why he'd be concerned, but this is a different environment, and you can only use that excuse for so long.
Fuck Christie. I hate this motherfucker. He decides to get the surgery on his hand because he can't properly beat his daughter for, you know, existing as a human. Then, during surgery, he refuses anesthetic so he can be more manly, like a douchebag. Then, as soon as his hand heals, what's the first thing he does? Yup. Beat his daughter with a belt. I'm so glad I did not live in the 1700s. I'd have been beaten every day.
It's looking like we may get something between Malva (did I finally get that right?) and Ian. I would be totally fine with that. It's a small community and I want everyone to be happy.
I have no idea if this makes me a masochist, but I totally approve of Jamie's punishment for the kids who sent Henri-Christian down the river in a basket. Even after Claire was like, what would you have done if they'd chosen the poker? And he was all, they would have gotten burned. Works for me.
