So, Jamie and Ian head over to the Mohawk as Jamie's first gig as the Indian agent, and they ask for Jamie to get them guns. Jamie says he'll think about it, and after talking to Claire about what happens in the future, he decides against it. Ian, however, feels a strong kinship with the Mohawk and thinks Jamie should honor their request. Later, Jamie (and we) find out that Ian had a child with a Mohawk and Jamie changes his mind and asks for the guns for them.
Marsali (and Claire, if I'm being honest) is super concerned about this pregnancy and is sure she is going to die. She just knows something is wrong. It's not like before. And it doesn't help that Fergus is still drunk and at the still all the time. However, we find out that he's acting like this because he feels guilty about not being able to stop the attacks on Claire and Marsali. No matter how many times Marsali has told him not to blame himself.
When the baby finally comes, Roger is sent to get Fergus and he has no interest is going. He says Claire can take care of it. But Roger (to his credit) talks him into going, telling him even if you have to fake it, do it for your wife. She needs you.
Fergus shows up and Marsali is over the moon. After a quick (loud) round of sex, the baby is born. When Claire wraps him up and hands him to Fergus, at first he is thrilled and cooing at the baby and then his demeanor changes. He says something in French, hands the baby to Claire and leaves. I was so afraid at this point, that he really was faking it for Marsali's sake. However, Claire tells her that while the baby is healthy, it is a dwarf. (I have no idea how she can tell. It just looks like a baby to me). Marsali doesn't care and is happily in love with the child.
Christie is still causing problems. He's busy not listening to Claire's advice medical advice since she's a woman, building churches that Jamie told him not to build, and trying to beat his daughter because he wanted milk instead of butter. Fuck this guy, am I right?
And Brianna 'invented' matches that no one seemed to care about.
