The Vampire Diaries 1X16: There Goes the Neighborhood

Okay, so all it took was Matt's mom being a bitch to Caroline to decide that I like Caroline. Lol.

Also, I just found out this episode that the reason that Harper (I hope he lives for awhile since I learned his name) got out of the tomb was because the spell didn't work. Have I been living under a rock? Why did I not realize this? Is it because Grams was exhausted and Bonnie wasn't strong enough?

Anyway, Elena and Stefan decide to double date with Matt and Caroline. You know is a bad idea from the start. Especially since Elena and Stefan said they wanted to do something fun. Hanging out with your ex on a date (who still loves you BTW) does not sound like a fun time. In the beginning it kind of goes okay, but eventually, Matt takes it too far. And when he does, it's Elena who chases after Caroline not him. They end up making up later, but I think it was too easy.

Meanwhile, Jenna, Damon, and Matt's mom are getting drunk at the bar. Jenna eventually leaves and runs into one of the vampire's who is staying with Pearl and Anna (even though Pearl told him not to go out). He tries to compel her, but she's wearing vervain perfume and gets home safely. Matt's mom and Damon head to Damons to hook up, but are interrupted when the double date walks in. Matt is mortified, and Caroline is upset to see her ex with someone else. Elena takes them home.

Later, the vampire who tried to compel Jenna and his friend bust into the Salvatore's house. Stefan ends up killing the friend and the other guy heads out to keep himself from being killed. Oh, and this is after Pearl and Anna already accosted Damon at the house telling him that she's got 400 years on him (and overpowers him easily) and he'll be helping her. No questions asked. And in a show of kindness, she'll tell him where Katherine is.

And Jeremy, after seeing Anna's face last episode, is down a rabbit hole researching vampires. When Anna comes over later, he purposefully cuts his hand to force her to show him what she is and drink from him. Afterwards, she asks him why he would do that. She could kill him. And he tells her, he wants her to make him a vampire. I'm sorry, what? No, thank you. Elena is gonna kill him if he turns into a vampire.
