The Vampire Diaries 1X15: A Few Good Men

This was, yet again, another good episode.

So, we've got definite confirmation that Alaric's wife was in fact, Elena's mother. However, we also found out that she's not actually dead, and that Damon actually turned her. Why? Because she begged him to. She was bored in life and bored in her marriage. And Damon totally used that info to taunt the hell out of Alaric. And he loved it. However, once Elena told him that that was her mom, he deflated like a balloon. He really does like Elena, doesn't he?

Elena goes to Isobel's friend to ask some questions about her mom, and this lady is super sketchy. Shortly after Elena got there, she texted someone, 'she's here.' Then served her tea with vervain in it. When Elena called her out on it, she made her leave. Once she does, some creepy dude (who is not a vampire) comes in and she's all, 'I did did what you said.' And he's like cool, and kills her.

So later, Damon is home and Alaric tries to sneak up on him and kill him, but Damon is a vampire, so that's not going to work. In the end, they fight, and Damon ends up stabbing him in the lungs and just hands out on the couch to watch him die. When Stefan shows up, Damon peaces out to leave Stefan to clean up the dead body. However, surprise! Alaric is alive! Huh? Apparently, his gaudy ass ring makes him invincible to supernatural stuff. I think?

Also, creepy guy who killed Isobel's friend earlier, tells Elena to stop trying to find her because she doesn't wanna know her. (Or something similar). Elena tries to ask questions, but Stefan tells her he's being compelled. Then creepy dude gets hit by a bus and Elena steals his phone. Which she later uses to call the most recent number. A woman answers and asks 'did you find her? any problems?' Elena that calls her Isobel, and the woman hangs up.

And, in other news, the vampire who escaped from the tomb last episode (and apparently has day walking abilities- what's up with that), meets up with Pearl and Anna who are staying with a human. I so need more info on what's going on over there.
