I did not expect to get so emotional this episode. But, as I've been saying, I LOVE the Brooke/Sam storyline right now, and watching Brooke claw tooth and nail to try to save Sam kind of broke me. And at the end of that scene when they were trying to not get Brooke to shoot X, and was all all, 'No, I need you, mom,' it was beautiful. And this also means that Q's murder might also be solved! I love that for his mother.
Turns out Peyton's health scare was that she's pregnant. And really, of all the things this could have been, this seems like the best option, right? They both seem super happy about it. And if they're happy, I'm happy.
What I'm not happy about though, is Lucas deciding to continue working on this movie with Julian, even after he got an out. Julian's dad is an executive or something and admitted that he finds Julian to be a loose cannon. Knows a good idea, but has no follow through. Plus, he's concerned that Julian is after Peyton and not the movie. But Lucas decided that Julian wanted to tell this movie right. Sigh. Maybe it'll be okay. He totally helped look for Sam, so he's probably not all bad. Not to mention, Peyton said, this was the part of him she fell in love with. I suppose he's got potential.
Skills goes to Millie and tells her to talk to Mouth. She does and he apologizes. And so does she. She really did sleep with Owen. However, she claims she was drunk and it was a mistake. But she totally planned to do this. I don't have an issue with her doing it, but unless she was already really drunk when she told Owen that (and it didn't seem like she was), then this was a plan and not a mistake. It seems like she and Mouth have broken up because of it. And I think that's probably best.
So, Nathan, who was really the only person in a good place last episode, had his first minor league (is that what it is?) practice. It didn't go as well as he'd hoped, but he got some really nice encouragement from his coach. But the other point guard on the team is being an asshole to him. He ripped up all his pictures and is constantly taunting him. I hate this for poor Nathan. He's finally working toward his dream again and this douchebag is trying to ruin it for him.
And we've got some really lovely scenes with Jamie and Andre. They sneak off to go to Q's grave since Andre's mom won't take him. You guys know how I feel about kids on TV, but it was really sweet watching the two of them.
