The 100 4X11: The Other Side
Added 2024-08-12 16:00:14 +0000 UTCOkay, so first off, fuck Jaha. I hope they do not give him a place in that bunker. And as pissed as I was at Clarke last episode, I'm feeling better about her now. Sort of. She does threaten to shoot Bellamy if he opens the door (and does actually shoot at him), but once the play has been made, she immediately just jumps on board and starts figuring out who we need on list our list of 100. Again.
The Arkadia suicide partiers are all dead with the exception of Harper, who decides she loves Monty too much to die. I'm sure I was supposed to be emotional about Jasper dying, but this is really what he wanted. So mostly, I was just happy for him. I can totally understand how, in a situation like this, you'd want to go out on your own terms.
I'm still not entire sure exactly what Raven did. But somehow, by killing herself and then bringing herself back to life, she's 'fixed' the Allie code in her head and now she's just regular Raven again. She radios to the bunker and tells them she's alive. I'm guessing she'll be on that list of 100.

Yeah, Harper’s genetically predisposed to a heart condition so she didn’t make the list. I like the full circle moment of them using Clarke’s list after all the shit everyone gave her and you’re right she really put so much work into it.

Was Harper the one who didn't make it because of genetic stuff? That must by why the two of them ended up hooking with the Raven bunch. Yeah. I hated her when she made the original decision. But once the door was open she was all, let's just figure out what to do from here. Yes! That is where I'm really glad they ended up going with the original 100 instead of a lottery. Clarke really put a ton of effort into figuring out who was best to continue civilization the first time around. Right?! Originally I thought Echo was gonna be snarky about it, but then she was all, 'you right, you right.' Never undermine Bellamy's love for Octavia.

2024-08-12 23:49:41 +0000 UTCFood for thought, neither Monty or Harper made Clarke's original list. I understand Clarke's justification. She never intended to leave Octavia and Kane out. She wanted to make the easy choice and she had some good points. Who was going to run the technology side of the bunker? All of skaikru are basically trained for living like this cause it's the way the arc worked. The grounders don't know how to live in a contained space, ration, work the technology, etc. But at the end of the day it's way better if 1200 people survive rather than 400 especially when considering repopulation when they leave the bunker. I wonder how much of her choice really had to do with that though vs not being able to live with killing Bellamy. I loved the moment between Echo and Octavia too when she's like I'm waiting for Bellamy and Echo was like, yeah that seems like a good plan lol. I didn't feel bad for Jasper cause like you said it's what he wanted but I did feel bad for Monty. Monty always makes me cry when I watch that scene.
