One Tree Hill 6X6: Choosing My Own Way of Life

I liked this episode. It was nice to get a bit of a break from the crazy drama that's been going on. And even thought some not so great stuff happened this episode too, it was all sort of balanced out by some nice cozy stuff as well.

So, Luca's book tour is canceled. But he gets to spend the day with Mouth (who's kind of a big deal in Omaha). I don't think people not showing up to his tour means all that much, honestly. I buy a zillion books. I've been to one book signing. Just because I don't go to your signing does not mean I'm not going to buy your book. But I'm sure it's still disheartening to see no one there.

Haley and Nathan find out the Sam is sleeping in the auto body shop. But she arranges it (sort of) so Brooke can take her in. Milly had that lovely board of things Brooke wanted to do but Victoria said were stupid. And one of them was 'be a mom.' That definitely contributed to Brooke's decision.

I still love that Brooke and Milly are trying to figure something out together. Also, I feel sure that Brooke is not out of design ideas, she's just stressed right now. But with Mouth coming home, I really hope that team Brooke and Milly is here to stay!

And then we get to Dan. Dan, who I have very complicated feelings about right now. But I think Nathan summed them up pretty well, in like, one sentence. You saved my wife and my son, but you killed my uncle. I don't know where that leaves us.

Love this episode for Naley and their family. Sure I wished that we would have gotten more in the aftermath of Carrie's demise since Nathan wasn't there for the traumatic event that Haley and Jamie went through, but I was fine with the 2-week time jump since everybody else's story had to more forward too. The introduction to Slamball for Nathan is great, always look forward to him playing that. James is a natural with a ball in the air, and he had a blast with this storyline. Jamie wanting Nathan to play so bad is always adorable and how great was that rivercourt scene between Naley...one of my all time favorites of theirs. They are just so perfect together, and Nathan wanting Haley's blessing and her granting it with a little shootaround first...is golden. And then the sweet family moment at the end...all cuddled together in Jamie's bed...was perfect. I also love Dan and Jamie together, because that is the only relationship that Dan has that's not clouded by his past mistakes and misdeeds, so Jamie is able to see a different version of his grandpa Dan than everybody else does. Throwing Deb in the mix with Skills always cracks me up, and that scene between all of them was no exception, lol.
