And I'm dead. This is now the Felicity Show. I refuse to accept anything else. Why would you have Arrow be the main character in this show when you could have Felicity?!? This has to be everyone's favorite episode, right?
Anyway, we get a bunch of delightful Felicity flashbacks where we see her at MIT as a hacktivist.
A cyberterrorist is attacking Starling City, and obviously, we put Felicity on the case. But she quickly realizes there is nothing she can do to stop it because the virus is one she wrote herself five years ago. And of course, our girl wrote a virus so good it's unstoppable.
Turns out the terrorist is her ex that she thought died in prison after using his hacking to wipe out a bunch of student loans. So he ends up kidnapping both Felicity and her mom (oh, mom's here by the way, and she and Felicity are super opposites) because he's not smart enough to do whatever hacking he needs to do to steal a bunch of money. At first Felicity refuses, but then he threatens her mom so she does it. But, afterwards she manages to contact Oliver and he shows up with Roy and Diggle.
Oliver is holding an arrow at her ex, who is holding a gun to her head. Oliver tries to talk to him, but Felicity just yoinks the guns from him, knees him, and slaps him in the face. Add it to list of things we love about Felicity. She then unties her mom and they reconcile.
In non-Felicity related storylines, Roy is having nightmares about killing Sara. Is this possible? I'm having a problem remember exactly the time line of when he was cured of the Mirakuru, but I really think it was before Sara died. So if he did kill her, he did it as Roy. But why? Was something controlling him? Did someone blackmail him? Was it to keep Thea safe? And who knows if it's even true at all. It literally could just be a nightmare.
Also, Thea tells Oliver that she's got all this money from Malcolm now. He's upset that she's taking his blood money. (And I was right about him giving her the money for the club). She rents a giant loft and convinces Oliver to move in with her. But as she and Oliver are watching TV, Malcolm is skulking in the background. Are we assuming this was his idea so he could keep better tabs on Oliver? Or is it just a thing of convenience for the show as Oliver has nowhere to live. Could be both.
