Outlander 4X10: The Deep Heart's Core
Added 2024-07-22 21:00:03 +0000 UTCOkay, I know this probably sounds crazy, but we don't want Roger to escape! If he escapes, we'll never be able to find him. We're following the Mohawk and if he's not with them, that's gonna be a problem. Unless, I suppose, he runs into them while he's headed back the other direction. But, either way, it might not matter because he found more stones and is contemplating going through them. I mean, Dana as Dana wants him to go, but Dana, who wants Brianna to be happy, doesn't want that. Sigh.
Speaking of Brianna, she finally is apprised of the actual situation. And Jamie. I so rarely say this about you, but WTF. I'm sure some of it is the fact that you've lived in the 1700s your whole life, and the fact that you've basically only just met Brianna, but come on. And good on Brianna for calling him out (just like I imagine Claire would have done in that situation).
After some deliberation, Brianna decides to keep the baby (Claire told her she could perform an abortion on her). She said that even if there was a tiny chance it was Roger's she wanted to keep it. I think that's a stupid reason to keep this baby, but I don't have to raise it, so more power to her. However, she does go on to say that even it's not she'll love it anyway, but is a much better reason to keep it.
But making this decision means that she cannot go on the journey to try to get Roger back. She wants all of the them to go, as she doesn't trust Jamie and Ian's judgement, but she's got to go stay at River Run while the rest go look for Roger.
This episode was fine. But as usual, I just want more of Jamie and Claire being happy. But in a show like this, those moments are scarce, so I'll just have to enjoy them when they show up.
