One Tree Hill 5X14: What Do You Go Home To?

I kind of love the opening of this episode. I love getting to see what everyone thinks about first thing in the morning.

We are getting some follow up from last episode. Haley shows up at Peyton's office and asks if she'll manage her, Nathan tries to go back to the gym, Brooke ends up hosting a baby who's here for surgery. You knew it was gonna be much easier for Haley to get back into music than Nathan for basketball and we see that clearly in this episode.

Quintin is being horribly disrespectful in this episode. Good on Skills for not making it into a bigger thing, but that was kind of fucked up. Also, I'm totally on Skills' side here. He's really just making sure that Q can play for a long time. Not just the next month or so.

Brooke is offering Millicent a promotion and raise, but she says that means she has to move back to New York, which she doesn't want to do. But then, she immediately finds out she's getting the baby and tells Milly she needs her stay. However, Mouth finds out he got offered a job in Omaha and is considering taking it, but doesn't wanna leave Milly. He decides to stay and they move in together.

It looks like Brooke and the bartender are breaking up. He doesn't wanna be with a 22-year-old who wants to be a mom (which I think is understandable). He wasn't even gonna tell her though. Chase showed up to tell her that he was basically just gonna ghost her. But her excitement, and genuine love for getting to help his baby was beautiful.

Is Deb back? Is she actually the new nanny? Or is this just a temporary thing until Haley feels better about leaving Jamie and they find someone more permanent? (Don't tell me.)

Also, I have a lot of confusing thoughts about Dan.

Haley with music and Nathan with basketball. The nanny interviews were funny, and I love the reveal at the end that Deb was the new nanny.... yay to her being back!!!! Jamie sure seemed to miss his Grandma Deb, and I'm glad that she's still in a good place to be the loving and doting grandmother that Jamie deserves to have. Dan is intriguing as always...and the thoughts always drift to, does he have noble intentions with his family, and is redemption possible with him? The weight of his presence is huge for all these characters and it's something that the show does incredibly well with the character of Dan Scott. Glad he leaves you with conflicting feelings as well, because I think that's the point, lol. And Brooke finally getting a chance to foster a sick baby that needs her help......is wonderful and so perfect for her. Seems very fitting indeed!!! Overall, I really enjoyed the majority of the running themes throughout this episode!!!

I love the opening of this episode too...and seeing everyone's thoughts first thing in the morning was hilarious. Also love that we get the continuation of NHJ now that they are a whole family again living back under one roof with Jamie, so we see Jamie's thoughts are about Chester, lol, and Naley both about Jamie, with Nathan's thoughts also on how hot his wife is, before we see Jamie's foot come between his parents to reveal that Jamie was also in the bed with Naley...and then they proceed to eat his little feet and the tickle fight begins. So damn adorable!!!! NHJ at their best....those family scenes never get old. Then we get the funny and cute breakfast scene with the family before we find out that Naley are going to interview new potential nannies later on that day, and Jamie gets to go back to practice with Nathan....a big first step to leave the house in over a month since his abduction. Also love that we get to see Naley take the advice of their therapist and agree to pursue their individual dreams....h
