Ha. John Grey for the win! I was hoping he would be able to get Jamie free, but I didn't really put a lot of stock in it.
Geillis captures Claire and interrogates her and why she's lying. Claire (and I) was confused, but eventually after some back and forth, Geillis believes her and sends her away. Why? Because she realized she has to go back through the stones to kill Brianna so we can finally get a Scottish king. Sounds convuluted to me, but I know Geillis whole heartedly believes this.
Thankfully, Jamie bursts in and saves Claire. They figure out what's going on and catch up with Geillis at the portal. And, she's got Ian tied up to used as a sacrifice. After a bit of a struggle, Claire cuts her throat and Ian and saved.
On the way back to Scotland, Claire and Jamie have a lovely bit of reconnections. And then the boat gets shipwrecked. Of course it does. No peace for these too. Claire ends up overboard. Jamie saves her, and eventually they realize they've washed up in American.
Some locals tell them that there were survivors of the wreck (but we don't know who, yet), but Jamie and Claire are just so happy that the other is alive, all they can do is embrace.
I was so afraid that Geillis and Claire were both gonna go through the portal and we'd have half of S4 with them apart again. I'm so so so so happy that we got this instead. I'm sure they will find other ways to keep them apart next season, but for right now, I'm thrilled with how they ended this season.
