One Tree Hill 5X9: For Tonight You're Only Here to Know

Don't hate me. I think this might be my least favorite episode. Which surprised me, because I'm generally a pretty big fan of bottle episodes.

However, I hated Peyton in this episode. And, as someone who is just flat out rooting for Peyton, it sucks to see her act like this. I get that she is hurting, but none of this shit is Lindsay's fault (and I don't really like Lindsay). She's just a girl who fell in love with a guy; despite the fact that she edited a book about how much he'd always love his ex.

I really wanted to see the basketball game, but we were stuck in the damn library the whole time and missed it completely. But (at least according to Mouth) maybe that was the point. The least interesting story is who won, which I assume is why they saved the reveal for last.

Also, why does Mia wanna hang out with Peyton so badly? I'm totally confused about why she's hanging on her every word and action. I mean, I like Peyton, this is well established, but it's very rare that I wanna hang out with my boss and learn their high school history.

We got a Tim sighting! I 100% didn't realize him and forgot he existed. Oops.

So, Nathan has decided to tell Haley about the kiss with bitch Carrie. I don't know if this is the right decision, but I know he thinks it is, so I'll support it.

Plus, I was wrong. That isn't the ring that Luke got for Peyton. It's the one that Keith got for Karen. That's gotta be a hard pill for Peyton to swallow, knowing all the backstory there. While it seems like he and Lindsay are friendly enough right now, I wonder if, at some point, Lindsay will end up finding out that Luke and Peyton kissed on the night he proposed.

And Peyton never even saw it. She closed the box before Lucas could even open it.

This wasn't my favorite episode either, so don't feel bad, lol. The best parts were Jamie, but then again, they usually are, hehe. I love that you're falling in love with him too, even though kids on tv aren't your thing, but I'm not surprised that he'd be the exception, lol. He is Naley's kid after all, so of course he's going to be awesome and have all the very best traits of his parents, but he's also everyone's little buddy because he's the common thread that links everyone together, so it adds that extra layer of relevance to his character which is so great to see play out. And I too could have done without the long-drawn-out library stuff, even though I do think most of it was important, but I just felt like it could have been cut in half and still accomplished the same thing. And how funny was the reveal that Tim has a son who he named Nathan, lol. I so wanted to see the scene of Haley relaying that news to Nathan. His expression and reaction would have been priceless for sure, lol. Peyton continues to be horrible this season, and she only gets worse with each passing episode, and it's just really hard to stomach. Makes me root for LL that much harder, lol. Seriously though......the writing is just awful for her character this season, and I'm always shocked about the lack of character development for her post the time jump. Makes no sense that her only purpose is to be the villain in this storyline with LL. The fact that she doesn't have anything else to do besides be a bitch to Lindsey and pissed off at Luke is ridiculous at this point. At least toward the end of this episode, she apologized to Lindsey, but it still comes off as a bit disingenuous to me. And then there is crazy nanny Carrie, who quickly turns in her notice before Nathan can tell his wife everything that she's been up to. And that smirk over Haley's shoulder directly aimed at Nathan....ugh!!!! Don't like this one bit!!!! The good news is that the drama is about to heat up 10-fold....so don't worry Dana, I don't think you are going to be feeling bored by anything coming your way any time soon, lol!!!

Yep...that's the best explanation!!! And it is so Lucas, lol!!!!

There's just one ring. The ring is Karen's ring from Keith and is the ring that Lucas used to propose to Peyton with. He never purchased a ring for Peyton. He was trying to give the Keith/Karen ring to Peyton, but she didn't accept the proposal/ring so it was never hers. It's Keith's ring that coulda been Peyton's ring, but she said no thanks, so now it's Lindsey's ring. The whole thing is so Lucas to me I can't even be mad at it, lol.

Not my favorite episode. The Peyton/Lindsey catfight was not interesting enough to be the main story of an entire episode. About Peyton, things are not black and white. I don't mind Peyton for trying to convince Lucas not to marry Lindsey. She loves him, she knows him very well and, above all, he kissed her few minutes before proposing to Lindsey lol. She is involved in this thing and I think it's only fair for Peyton to have an honest conversation with him and to stop the BS. In this episode, she is not showing her best side. At least she's aware of it and she is better at the end. Actually, it is the ring that Luke chose to propose to Peyton. Brooke confirmed it because she saw the ring in NY. And this ring was also Keith's so it truly has a deep meaning.
