9-1-1 1X1: Pilot

Big fan of the fire department and the 9-1-1 operator. I'm not loving the LAPD woman who they claim is like 50 (she can't be more than in her late 30s). But she grew on me more as the episode went on. Hopefully that continues in the next episode as well.
Loved the varied reasons 9-1-1 was called. If this is what we can look forward to each week, I think I'm gonna like it! I'm just hoping it doesn't end up drifting into more personal drama than work drama. Some, is obviously fine (it would be weird if they didn't have personal lives at all). But I really like the actual emergency parts!

Wow. If this is the weakest season, that says a lot, because this first episode was intense! I really like the calls, but we didn't really get to learn much about anyone's life except Athena in this first episode and as I was sort of annoyed with her character (although I liked her much more by the end) I was anxious to get back to everyone else. Lol.

2024-04-10 12:04:49 +0000 UTCyay! i’m so happy you liked the episode even if it stressed you out. season 1 is the weakest season of the show imo but i still enjoy it a lot. i’m definitely not pro-cop either but luckily athena is the only main cop of the show so it’s mainly about the firefighters. while i enjoy the calls and they always happen in the episodes so no need to worry about those going away, i’m much more invested in the characters and their lives and the family they find together. you’ll get there the further into it you get. i actually love all the main characters too which is rare for me in an ensemble show.
