Daisy Jones & The Six Track 1: Come and Get It
Added 2024-01-08 21:00:04 +0000 UTCThank you to the lovely Emily who sponsored this season of Daisy Jones & The Six!
I'm going to make a promise to TRY not to spend every episode singing along, but the soundtrack for this show is SO GOOD!
Also, I'm really looking forward to Daisy and Billy being in the same space together. Especially after her, 'I'm not a muse,' interaction. I can see Billy treating her as on as well.

That makes sense as to why I knew the name, but couldn't quite place it. Thank you!

I love the style and the music and pretty much everything. Ugh. Her mom annoyed me so much. I'm hoping we don't see a ton of her in the future. I love that she decided hers is the only opinion that matters. I'm currently reading Eileen by Ottessa Moshefegh. It's a VERY character-driven story (with not a ton of plot) and the main character is fairly unlikable, but something about it just works. Apparently, they turned it into a movie last year, but I just found that out as I was typing this comment. Lol. The next episode will be up on Wednesday, January 10!

2024-01-09 00:17:35 +0000 UTCaww this made my day!! i am so happy you've enjoyed this episode and are looking forward to what to come. this first episode really hooked me in, i love all the characters a lot and really became invested with them from the first episode. i love that we got some backstory of how everyone's getting their start and kind of where they come from. i think stumbled on sublime is supposed to be a quizzential 70s soft pop song and also one that shows she knows how to compose lyrics to music. but it's not my favorite of the songs from the series for sure. but i also get about how we're meant to feel about that one. to me it def. doesn't hold a candle to others. i think her playing just showed herself she has the confidence to put herself out there and sing with her own voice and her own song. i think she just didn't have the confidence before. from her mother telling her no one wants to hear her voice to saying "you're a pretty girl" and probably a lot of other stuff really made her question herself. i think her singing and playing in a public setting was just a way for her to prove to herself that she could put herself out there, and that's really the first step. now that she knows she can, and did, take that first plunge, she's ready to face all the other steps ahead. i'm super excited for you to see what's going to come!! they really did such a good job with this show. since getting into this series i've been devouring taylor jenkins reid books. you mention you're reading a really good one by another author at the moment and i'm curious what book that is. i think TJR has renewed my love for reading all over again and i'm definitely up for more reccomendations. looking forward to the next episode. thank you so, so much for doing this show <3
