Weekly Progress #83-#85
Added 2018-05-20 23:37:29 +0000 UTCSince new content resumes this week, I figured it’s time to do the weekly posts again. I will be talking about all of the projects done during my hiatus which is quite a lot. So let’s get started.
Completed Projects
I finished several projects during my hiatus. This includes a My Hero Academia video, a MRW: Black Clover video, and a Blazeblue Crosstag parody which should come out in a few weeks. I’m going to talk about the My Hero Academia video first.
The My Hero Academia video was the first video I worked on in which I did frame by frame animations during certain scenes. Not only that, but I experimented with a new animation technique in which I cut a frame from certain actions (e.g. hitting head-first into a wall, suddenly punching a villain, etc.). I realized by cutting out a frame from an action or by suddenly transitioning to that frame, it gives that action more impact. I’ll be doing this with more action orientated animations in the future. With that said, the video will come out sometime in July during Shonen Jump month.

The next animation I finished was a short MRW video for Shonen Jump month. Not going to lie, I laughed a lot when working on the video. I absolutely loved animating Asta since he had some…interesting faces during the video. The video should come out the first week of Shonen Jump month.

The final project I finished during my hiatus was the Blazeblue Crosstag parody I worked on with Deesidia. I applied a lot of what I learned from the My Hero Academia video for this project since in involved Yang and Makoto punching and kicking a lot of people. The only thing I have to comment on for the project is Yang’s model. Yang’s model had a lot of bones for her skit, which wasn’t necessarily the problem. The problem was the positioning and the naming for them that made things a bit tougher to animate for her. Though the video’s done, I’ll go back and fix some things for the video.

Ongoing Projects
To celebrate the Spyro Trilogy Remaster coming out this September, I will be releasing a Mario/Sonic/Spyro/Crash/…Bubsy parody when the game gets released. The problem I’m already seeing is lip syncing Crash. Crash’s mouth is probably one of the most complex mouth’s I might have to animate since I not only have to position his lips and teeth, but I also have to adjust his nose at times. Either way, it’s going to be an interesting animation to work on.

The other project I really need to finish is the MRW: Hunter x Hunter video which I plan to release for Shonen Jump month. I worked on parts of it during my livestream, and need to animate the remaining parts.

New Ideas
I’m currently thinking about doing another YuGiOh parody, the problem is that the Yami model I found on MMD has a very tricky password I have to figure out. Not mention, the owner said he doesn’t want the model used software that’s not MMD. I might have to commission Piexoto21 for the project.
And that’s about it! It’s good to be back in the swing of things and hope to talk to you guys more here. If you guys have any questions for me regarding these projects, please let me know! With that said, thanks for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day or night! See ya!
