Weekly Progress #8

This Week's Completed Projects

So my main focus this week was finishing my Bad Rats review. Though animating it took longer than expected, editing the video was pretty straight forward since there weren't a lot of pictures in the video and heavily relies on short story segments in the review. Like the Senran Kagura review, the Bad Rats review is about 10 minutes long and I think all future reviews will stick to that length. With Bad Rats done, I'm going to finish my assessment of Bad Rats: The Show and start typing out the review. I'm also going to finally get Ni No Kuni next week and play that alongside Fairy Fencer F: Dark Advent. The current plan is to review Fairy Fencer F: Dark Advent on December 3rd then Ni No Kuni December 17th. Afterwards, I'm most likely going to put the reviews on a month-long hiatus since doing two reviews in one month is going to be tough. Enough getting side tracked, when will the review be out? Although $5+ patrons already saw the review, the review will be out 1 PM EST this Saturday. For now, here are some screenshots from the video.

This Week's Ongoing Projects

I will say that I made tremendous progress on the “Torbjorn Hates Omnics” video. In fact, I anticipate that the video will be finished by this weekend and currently debating whether or not to schedule it or release it asap. I had a lot of fun animating this one as I loved how evil I made Torbjorn looked at times. The only real problem I had with this video thus far is the last scene. Turns out that when I originally wrote the script, I anticipated that the final scene will take place in a room. However, I changed the map setting to an outdoorsy environment, so Torbjorn's final line didn't make sense. But, Brendaniel was able to redo his line in order to match it with the map's new setting. With that said, here are a few screenshots from the video.

The final project I worked on this week was the first scene in #More_Gameindustri_Drama. This scene is merely to poke fun at a famous ditzy Twitch streamer named Brittany Venti. To not spoil the joke, I won't tell you that Compa is parodying in this scene. I can only show one screenshot from the video.


Also, I finally got Nikoruchan 18's lines for the “Plutie's Secret” video as well as PM Seymour's. I only need one more line before I can work on the video.

No progress done on the roast video due to me focusing on the reviews. Sorry :(

This Week's New Idea's

Though the finished and ongoing projects were kinda light this week, I came up with several new parody ideas. One idea I had involves Kira from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure...ordering pizza. I know it sounds mundane, but the writing will focus on...his obsession with women hands as well as his OCD. I even enlisted Weeaboss, the creator of Jojo Bizarre Adventures: Diamond is Unbreakable Abridged to voice Kira for the parody. However, due to his schedule, he won't be able to give me his lines in 2-3 weeks from now.

Another idea I had is another Overwatch parody. If you read the Overwatch lore, then you would know that Mercy was interrogated by the UN for corruption in Overwatch. I finally finished typing a script for that parody two days ago. For this video, I'm going to ask Deadjosey and SeigiVA to voice most of the Overwatch characters in the video since they dub a lot of Overwatch comics. I also plan to have TamaraFritz to voice Mei in the video since she did an excellent job voicing her in next week's “It Came From Tumblr 6: Overwatch Edition” video.

A short video idea I had involves Re:Zero. If you watched Re:Zero, then you'll be familiar with one of the maids in the anime, Rem. Since I felt like she was honestly the best girl in the anime, I wanted to use her for a quick MRW: Re:Zero video. I already know that I'm basically recreating one of DJ Khaled's memes with the channel's avatar and the Rem model my friends Frac and Mirabeau imported from MMD for me! Also, due to the length of the short, I know it will be a perfect video to work on a SFM Sunday stream. So I will be streaming myself working on that October 9th.

The final idea I had involves the new channel trailer. Though I originally intended it to be a detective noir parody, I was so frustrated waiting for one of the main voice actor's lines that I decided to change the theme of the trailer. Also, I felt like the video did a poor job explaining what's the channel is about in the original script. I also decided that I will stream myself working on parts of the video for October's 16th's SFM Sunday Stream. For the channel trailer, I got GaoGaiKingVA as well as Nowacking to star in the trailer. I just need to find two more voice actors for the project.I'm 70% certain I will commission Prozd for the channel trailer since I think his Ron Swanson voice would be perfect for one of the roles.
