I'm still working on Jasper's biology and what would make it work. I had an idea of merging the thorax with the abdomen and move the legs back to get some more space, basically making her more centaur like... but I'm not sure how that could work on the long run.

Also another reason for the pause might be to work on more characters since i'm about to enter the school setting.

Sorry David Fenger for erasing your comment. I swear I didn't mean to do it. I'll try to avoid doing the mistake again (I just keep on selecting the wrong comment by accident. As to your comment. You mentioned that changing the design might alter the way the character looks. The main reason is that i still find trouble in drawing the characters legs. Just about yesterday, I tried to draw an altered Jasper lying on her back and just kept on trying to figure out the placement of the legs, also noticing that the segmented parts had variable lengths. (this is kinda my fault since i try to go for a more mammalian style with an exoskeleton. Mostly, this want for a change is just inspired by a manga I read where arachne were imagined as centaurs. And what stuck with me was how easy the artist seemed to have to drawing the specie, with details such as spreading the legs, not having the thorax-abdomen separation, and reducing the number of joints. I suppose it's a matter of practice i need to work on and figuring out what to do about the varitable length of the limbs... Honestly, the idea of rebooting the series with another character or specie works as well since, at the rate this is going, I fear Jasper will be sidelined. Still, sorry for the delete of the comment. Don't stop commenting please. It's the observations of others that keep me going
