Whateley Academy - Raffina Booker

Here we have a sort of promo image for the next arc within my Whateley Universe, featuring one of the characters. I haven't zeroed in on the design, this is just a tentative representation.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been trying to get back on track of things. And, well, decisions are tough. For more information, you can check the journals I'll post in DA and FA (should i post them here? I don't know if Patreon's post format is as nice as the gallery systems the other sites have).

But the long story short is that I've spent the past month or so preparing the semester i teach, trying to figure out the syllabus of something i'm remotely well versed. That has led to a lot of second guessing and hasty preparation. I've also been working a lot for whateley academy, pretty much writing the next arc for my character that should last till november. And to that, we also combine the inability to make a decision over my current works or lay them down as they should.

The current thought on me is the idea of rebooting some of my series and fixing them. Though, editing is just breaking me >.>. And I currently don't have the way of paying for a proofreader.

This may be a bit of a retraction... but in my mind it does sound like a good idea to start in class in the first day. (I mean this can still be changed).

Sorry for the delay. It's been a really busy time irl. I would just share and go on about it, but I'm a tad tired that everything is doom and gloom with me. I should be more optimistic and have more things to share. But self doubt is eating me up.

Anyway, here we have what maybe the last page of Monsterism for a while. The truth is, I love this story and have some plans for it. I have some set pieces in mind. But, I'm just shying of making any pronouncements over the immediate. So I end up flipflopping on things like where to take the story in the immediate terms. It doesn't help that i feel like my drawings are horrible.

I need to get that sorted out in the immediate... but not sure how.

I've also been thinking on making a discord server for patrons... but not sure if i could manage it.

Practice - Rawr

Sorry for the slow output recently. I've been dealing with some stresses on my dayjob... I just wish i could make it as an artist or writer. I'll try to up my work and output so everyone feels like its worth it.

It's mostly to show that I'm still drawing and practicing, even if i get very sidetracked.

Backstory is that their character, after visiting an alien spaceship the night before, woke up with their body having molted into a different sex, now sporting a sort of reptilian form with a really long tail.

Lishia Ravela - Test

Sorry, but no comic page this time. I'm getting back into writing and fell a bit behind, with all the drama and paranoia that surrounds me.

I still do hope to make more things for others and pick up the speed with money being low for the next couple of months, I need to find a way, be it make comics, sell comms or do special events.

What sort of things would get people more interested?

Well, in between one thing and another, it was about due time that I started continuing this story. Not sure exactly where this is going to take us, so best to enjoy the ride.

Still finding Jasper's appearance as very tricky to draw, but we'll power through. Either i end up scrapping the comic and expanding on the other character, or keep at it.

Monster-ism: Promo 2

So, I've been meaning to get on this for a while. Not much has changed ever since: I have a general layout of some things to happen, but don't have them committed to a script. I also don't really know what genre i'm gunning for. The design of the spider/Arachne is cumbersome for a Main character, and yet there is appeal to it. And all the while I debate as to whether it would be best to focus on a mermaid character I was also developing.

Still, this is the first piece i have that has popped up in a reddit thread so i find it encouraging enough to continue.

New to this slight redesign, I thought of simplifying the legs by removing the 'kneepad' and maybe reducing the size just a smidge (maybe)

Might have it colored.

But as usual, let me know your thoughts.

Sorry... No piece today.

Sorry, I know i've been falling into the one post per week schedule. So it is because of that I have to apologize today. I thought I would be able to carry on with the monsterism story or do another asylum character vignette... but I ended up falling sick of the stomach for a couple days (and then someone >:C forced me to do a halloween piece).

So yeah. there won't be a piece today, but know that I'm rushing through a halloween tftg comic for everyone, hoping to get it before the end of the month. One that might expand into a thing of its own, like it seems to happen

3 sidenotes:

• Looking for the halloween comic. It's going to take me a lot to draw and ink the pages. It would really help to count on someone to do the coloring.

• I want to publish some of my old stories ("My special Sister" and the reworked "Just one favor") and I need help. Either as an agent or guide as I struggle with self promoting and actually taking the steps, or as a reader.

• And lastly. Everyone okay with the "one piece every tuesday" policy? Or will it be okay if i relax on it.
