With my upcoming Deep Sea Defenders Expansion I'm going to introduce a new unit type for the faction. Dragoons. Infantry units that swim faster than the sharks and specialize in flanking/Hit & run manoeuvres. As I wanted to broaden the aquatic creatures within the faction I came across the idea to implement a type of "mermaid" unit. And as I didn't want to go with the traditional mermaid-ish look, I found a type of deep sea creature to be the most fitting design choice. Being inspired by different concepts my community shared with me. A slender design with a more ferocious look.
With their modular variants they are equipped with either a spear or dual axe blades. People will be able to customize which weapon they feel fits best with what they want to use the dragoons for.
We're close to the official release of this expansion and so I will still share a few previews of the set. I will share those in the coming week. Stay tuned for more and let me know how you feel about these new units!
