March was a big month for the Johnny Harris show. After working on getting access for nearly a year, Johnny finally got to go train with the Japanese Military, officially known as the Self Defense Forces. He brought along me, his trusty cameraman and gear mule, Teryn, our production manager and field producer, and Makiko, our fixer and translator. Fun fact: Makiko previously worked with Johnny on an episode for Vox's Borders way back.
We secured incredible access for this piece and are excited to share some behind-the-scenes moments with our patrons, as we haven't even teased this video to anyone else yet! We hope you enjoy it.

So much talent behind the scenes. I continue to enjoy the way the team works together. Doing cool stuff but having fun in the process. Not sure how you cracked into the Japanese forces, it I look forward to the episode.
