Under desk exploration
Added 2023-12-04 04:05:57 +0000 UTCGetting "promoted" wasn't quite as good as you expected it to be, you were aware that the night shift crew was "special", because ever since joining the company people would dread the shift, hoping to never get "promoted" to it.
But you figured, as a "manager", things would be different for you.
Starting your first night, something odd happened as for reasons unknown to you, you began shrinking. As you finally shrunk to "final size" you noticed more and more tiny people gathering around you, eager to welcome you among them.
What surprised you most was there were literally hundreds of them, you even recognized a few as some of the recent hires ...
So, handing out the work order of the night, you then decided to give the entire place a "once over", not realizing how long it would take at your current size.
Many hours later, as you were finishing up, you didn't see anyone else around, wanting to congratulate them on a job well done, it was still dark, but you could see light coming in from outside, as a shadow obscured it, it was the day shift who'd come in to start their work.
Finding yourself in a precarious location, beneath your supervisor's desk, you tried to run and hide as she sat down in her chair, she was way too fast for you, and getting comfortable, she shifted forwards, her shoe landing right above you as you well to your back.
Looking up, you could only hope she would not press it down ...
No wonder the night shift was constantly hiring.
