Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, and a cool Kwanzaa to all
The next video will be a second texture drawing demo/tutorial. After unsuccessfully trying to start this a few times over the past year I've finally gotten captures that I think are interesting enough to watch, and this time none of them are from Zelda- go ahead and try to guess even one of the games might be featured. I doubt you will ever, ever be able to tell from the image what I could be drawing. It's mysterious.
Unlike the last tutorial, this one will focus on more modern textures with a heavy emphasis on material map creation. It's much more difficult, complicated work and if you liked seeing the process last time then I think you'll be interested in this as well.

I'm just finishing the texture drawing and can start editing now. There are about 87GB of footage to get through but it's all in a linear order, so unlike most videos I don't have to pick and choose which clips go where. That should speed it up but I still don't expect this to be done until the first week of January- I really wanted it out this month, so I'm sorry for missing that target. Blame Santa and his stupid holiday for getting in the way. Boy, I hate him.

Last time I mentioned that my 2001 synth (top) seemed to be outputting glitchy noise and was no longer usable, so I bought the new model. This is what 20 years of advancement gets you: more lights, fewer keys. This will likely help a lot when making the music for the tutorial, and I've also purchased a bass, so my amateurish covers will really be swinging some sack around now.
The comments overwhelmingly supported waiting for Goldeneye before checking in on Switch Online again, which unfortunately still has no release date, so I plan to do Metroidvania part 5 and finally talk about Axiom Verge 2. I thought it would be "cute" to cover it and Silksong in a sequel-themed video but Team Cherry has let the people down again (the first time by making Hollow Knight so boring), so forget it.
There will also be a deluge of releases in March, with Returnal, The Last of Us, and Resident Evil 4 Remake all launching on PC. RE4 will for sure get a video, but if there's interest in it I could try squeezing in a video on one of the other two games beforehand.
Thanks again for your support!
