Preferred video delivery method for exclusive content
Added 2021-01-23 19:45:55 +0000 UTCBecause this video was so massive I wanted to provide something extra and will be giving a patron-only behind the scenes look at how I make commentaries. Some people have asked for something like this before and I figured this would be the best time to show how they're put together, why they take so long, and what ends up being cut out of them and why.
I'd like to know how you'd prefer to receive this; I can link to a download from Drive, which would give you a higher quality video with no danger of copyright claims, allowing me to use music I wouldn't be able to on YouTube.
The other option is obviously YouTube, as an unlisted or private video. This would be more convenient and allow one click plays, but I wouldn't be able to include certain things due to content ID and the quality would be compressed.
The video itself is fully edited and I'm now in the final phase of adding music and polishing up the timings, so I expect it to be up within just another day or two. The bonus video should be up a few days after, although at this point my estimates are about as accurate as a drunken storm trooper.
Thanks again for your support

If you are more satisfied with the result, go the drive option.

2021-01-26 23:48:05 +0000 UTCFor the sake of not having to potentially cut content, I like the drive download idea, personally. Nothing wrong with a YouTube video, but it definitely has Content ID as a major disadvantage to worry about.

2021-01-24 20:27:04 +0000 UTCI really don't know what Drive is, but if it's not that complicated then I can do that. I'm not tech savvy at all but I can sure try!

2021-01-24 07:38:50 +0000 UTCThis isn't related, but have you played any souls games? (Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, etc) I would love to see you do a video on one!

2021-01-24 00:00:17 +0000 UTCDrive is all good with me. As someone who also makes Youtube commentaries (except mine are shit), I'm stoked to see your process. I think the one you did on making textures was probably a huge help to people in that field too.

2021-01-23 21:35:55 +0000 UTCIf you want, why don't do both? I dunno, I'd download it too of course. But do what you think is best, man

2021-01-23 20:57:31 +0000 UTCMassive fan of allowing downloads, esp if it means content that you want doesn't have to be cut out. So happy to see so many agree too. Whopper!

2021-01-23 20:39:46 +0000 UTCOh, then disregard one vote for the youtube option then. Didn’t expect a direct response from you so quick, while you’re here please know that i enjoy your videos very much and hope you are happy and prosperous.

2021-01-23 20:00:25 +0000 UTCThey're about the same, but Drive should be slightly easier in that I don't have to worry about YouTube screwing around with the video (turning monetization and mid roll ads on without consent, for example).

2021-01-23 19:58:10 +0000 UTCIs it more convenient for us or for you? I’d prefer the option that is less of a headache for you honestly.
