Greetings,
it's nearly done. Approximate 30 dialogue images left and 1 animation to render. So I'm pretty sure I'll finish rendering for the dialogue this week. After that I need a few location shots, some secrets and the 4K Render reward.
Once I'm done with the images for the dialogue I will get in another review cycle with osanaiko. As soon as we finished the last review cycle I'll create a Alpha build for the high tier patreons.
Own script language
A little bit more technical topic this time. As you may know I created my own framework for this game and I also use my own script language for dialogue files. For this script files I've also written my own parser to interpret those script files. I continuously expand the features of those script files but one thing has been missing all the time. I haven't had a real language syntax highlighting for my own script language. So I started creating my own language extension for visual studio code. The syntax highlighting will make it even more easier to edit script files and detect syntax errors. Also it looks pretty cool in an IDE (well for a developer maybe :) )
I haven't done something like that before and it's quite interesting, even if it's a bit complicated to translate everything in nested regular expressions for which I used functions in my parser. Maybe that's to technical. However, I have a first working version of my language extension which does some basic highlighting. I want to enhance it over time but it's just a little side and learning project at the moment.
