the increase in the render count this week isn't as high as I would like it to be but I created and finished another location.
Bathroom environment
I wanted to create a specific scene / pay homage to a meme. But I didn't just want to recreate the scene but make fit to my style and to the story/ universe. I don't want to spoil it to hard. The renders of the environment aren't the finals of the environment. I filled the scene a bit more before starting to render the scene.
The base of the environment is already a few years old. I started to model it before the development of this game started so I didn't needed to start from scratch. However it still took some time to finish all and make it fit with the rest of the environments.
Anyway, this should be the last environment that I needed to create for this update. From now on I should be able to focus on rendering only and therefor hope to progress faster now as the development of this update is already way too long for my liking.

Indeed it's not very practical, but this is the bathroom for the deluxe suites on the ship and therefore I just wanted them to look a bit more fancy. The glass basin is a tub and the drains are on the wall at the bottom (a bit hard to see in these images) for both, the tub and the shower. The tub is filled because I use it in the scene. In the location-shots for the free roam mode the tub will be empty and a few other issues will be fixed that currently are still present but won't matter for this very scene.

2022-11-20 19:27:21 +0000 UTCThat bathroom doesn't look very practical :) Slanted walls in a shower just waste space and in this particular case, there is no reason for it. The cabin could be twice as large with floor to ceiling walls. Likewise, what's with the pre-filled glass basin? What's its purpose right next to the regular sink, why is it filled, and where does the water go to? :)
