I personally think that the shot of Cameron from Page 3 / Panel 1 is one of the cooler ones from the chapter so far, so I wanted to share how I put it together!
Once again, there's an astounding number of free-or-inexpensive 3D assets available in the Clip Studio Asset library and I found this absurdly detailed cathedral for free download(!!). There were some columns and small windows on either side of the pews that were perfect as basis for the scene setup I was hoping to make. This environment is heavily based on The Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in Manhattan so I also collected a bunch of reference shots of the interior and tried to set up the detailing in a similar way.
Fortuna (the dog familiar) is going to be appearing a lot in this chapter so I also threw down for a fully articulated dog model. I have zero regrets, it's been soooo nice to have!!! Even if I'm barely using model's pose, it's just nice to be able to have a quick and dirty comparison of size relation/uniform perspective across several characters. It keeps me from overthinking a layout and over-working a shot (which for me makes characters read stiff).
If there's any pages or panels you folks are interested in, I'd be happy to do a breakdown of it! It's been fun learning new tools and I'm happy to share!
