Miss Kim's Certificate

So Miss Kim Rub (misskimlinktree.com) asked me if I could come up with a cool certificate design for graduates of the Mistress Workshop sessions that she runs.

I felt it would be far more interesting if I could make it a painting of the lady herself. So I've spent the past week jigging-and-re-jigging a 2D text layout to neatly fit into a paintable scene, and far too much time trying to find just the right set of fonts for it.

The lady herself has given the sketch a leather-gloved thumbs up and so it's time to break down those flats and dive in with paint.

See you soon with more updates on this piece, and when it's done, it'll be back to finishing off all the kinkiness of 'Calibration'. (Which will be an interesting experience - I'm now used to the cycle of concept/sketch/flats/paint/finish and then onto the next piece - I don't think I've ever had two pieces in flight at the same time before, certainly not during this project and I doubt ever in my IRL career.)
