Normal Service Will Be Resumed...

Hi folks

Well, that's was a week....and I'm pleased to say that things are starting to get back to normal for me.

Today the cast on my wrist finally came off so I can once again hold my drawing tablet a bit easier and can touch type with two hands again.

And yesterday evening, after a week of trouble, I figured out what had been driving me nuts for a good 10 or so days and was making me want to throw my drawing tablet out of the window.

While finishing off the last painting and while sketching up this new piece my tablet decided to start jumping the screen about, zooming in or out randomly whenever I lifted the stylus off the screen.

Most annoying and making what has been a pleasure working on my little Samsung Galaxy Book these past years as frustrating as heck.

I'd checked my stylus, cleaned my screen, recalibrated the settings in Clip Studio, switched out the usual black Lycra half-glove I wear on my drawing hand to help my hand glide over the screen while drawing. I had tried everything.

And last night - I found it - buried in Windows' settings was a little flag called "Ignore touch input when I'm using my pen" that had decided to mysteriously untick itself and throw me into misery.

I ticked it and am happy to say that things are much better.

Anyways, here's the absolute in-progress sketch on my next piece that I'm titling "The Entourage" - it's an idea that came to me a few weeks back, it's going to have a large cast of characters and is proving so complex that I'm having to block out the silhouettes of the characters in it as I go so I can simply keep track of all the arms and legs going on in the piece.

So not an official 'sketch' post - I like to get the majority of it worked up before posting as you know, but after the couple of little victories in the past 24 hours I figured I ought to drop you an update.
