I attacked this piece knowing the colour scheme I was aiming for (which is a change - I'm often working this out halfway through the piece.) Working background to foreground, on this one I decided to really polish each figure to very close to final this time - normally I'll do a secondary touch-up pass (usually minor) but this time I decided to commit.
The one interesting piece I was undecided upon is the colour of the outfit of our female-masked central character - I think I'd perhaps imagined them to be clad mostly in black, with blonde hair, but decided in the moment for go for creams and ivories - in retrospect, I'm glad that I did as I realised in the final piece the difference between the subject and the dark mother goddess' outfits creates a pleasing contrast.
