Wow...what a year!
Added 2022-04-18 19:03:15 +0000 UTCExactly a year ago I posted my first fetish painting (Maid Ana) to Instagram under my phetishskin pseudonym.
Since then I've accumulated nearly 2000 followers over various social media platforms, been generously supported by you kind folk and chatted with a host of wonderful, supportive people who all share a love of fetish.
It's been a truly wonderful experience - it helped me through the frustration of the UK restrictions and, by adopting a pseudonym has allowed me to cut loose my imagination and paint images without any kind self-censoring. (And it has been wonderful to see my work appreciated for what it is - not because of my previous work IRL.)
I feel my work has gotten better, certainly my ambition to pack more details into a painting has increased, technically I'm getting more consistent and have, after many years of fumbles and muddling through found a process that seems to work efficiently and effectively no matter what subject I decide to throw at it.
(In my IRL super-vanilla commission work - I've integrated that process which has speeded me up too - although my techniques for painting corrugated rubber tubing, gasmasks and latex reflections don't seem to be needed as much.)
So here's to going into Year Two - there are a number of really interesting things coming up that I'm itching to tell you about (and you know I will as soon as I'm able.) And I'm just looking forward to seeing where this crazy trip takes us all next.
