With this one, I just wanted to create a simple piece that showed a literal physical as well as an emotional connection. (Pondered making some variations but the more I thought about it, the more I realised that by adding more elements such as blindfolds or removing the masks it detracted from the point of the piece.)
The piece proved to be actually a little more complex to execute than I thought it would - lots of overlapping elements in that middle ground meant a couple of times I had to rework my layers as I realised that the one element was supposed to be in front of another.
With IRL work about to turn into holiday vacation in the next couple of days I'm going to take some time to entirely rebuild my website on a new platform that should finally allow me to offer prints of my work through Printful. Although I do want to get a few more paintings done over the holidays, because with the luxury of having a little more time on my hands there's nothing more fun than firing up the tablet and losing myself in shiny kinky fantasies.
Also - small update - I've been approached about an opportunity to showcase my work in a gallery exhibition in the New Year - which sounds really exciting - I've been making art for my entire career and never had an opportunity like that present itself. If things work out, I'll keep you posted with news and pics as soon as I have more info.
