Your mindless scrolling through the endless stream of micro videos stopped when that one began. The video was titled “THE HOT SAUCE DARE MEME! 100% HOT CHICK!!!” with several flame emojis surrounding the words.

It opened with a close-up of a small hot sauce crystal bottle.

The bottle filled the whole screen, the sauce inside was molten red, the label had a drawing of a crazy eyed chicken breathing fire. Inside the bottle the sauce looked molten hot. It was difficult to read what the label said, most of it was written in Spanish, but the tagline of the sauce roughly translated to: So hot you will lay eggs! After being shaken a couple of times the bottle moved away from the camera, revealing to the audience that it was being held by a woman in some room or other. A young brown skinned asian woman, a rather petite one with long raven hair. She was wearing shorts,a bra and big hoop earrings, giggling to the camera as she showed the hot sauce bottle.

“This is it! This is the super sauce that is so hot that it turns you into an egg laying chicken! If you can’t take the heat it transforms you!”

Her explanation was nonchalant, but her silly giggles sounded nervous.

From behind the camera, off screen, another voice spoke.

“Let’s go, Lia,” the voice said. “Drink it already!”

Lia chuckled, shaking her shoulders, hopping from one leg to the other.

“But I don’t want to lay eggs!” she said.

“Come on, don’t be a pansy!” the off camera voice nagged.

Lia chuckled.

“What I don’t wanna be is a chicken!”

“What a moron…!” Lia opened the bottle and took a sniff of the sauce. “This smells… so intense… Ufff… I really don’t wanna be a chicken!”

“Chicken for the rest of your life! Drink! Drink! Drink!”

“Hmph!”

Lia was standing on one leg, her smile trembling, she breathed deeply.

“Fuck it! Just a sip!”

She clenched her eyes, moved the bottle to her lips… just a sip…

Just a sip that immediately made her start to cough.

“Ssssssshhhhhhhit! This shit ssssstrong!”

Lia put a hand on her chest, coughing heavily, her face turning red, and sweating.

Chuckles from behind the camera.

“What? Too hot?”

The woman nodded, the sauce bottle dropped to the floor as she flapped her hands near her face, trying to calm the heat.

“Too Hot! TOOO DAMNN HOT!” she cried.
