Making gourmet meals with minimal equipment. One doesn't have to live with a chef to cook like one on a boat, in a cabin in the wilderness, etc.

I don't think a single person I have enthusiastically "inflicted" my interest on had the faintest notion what or where Svalbard was before I mentioned it. A few knew about the seed vault, but didn't connect it to Svalbard. (And that was also me before I discovered her channel. I just knew the seed vault was up in the arctic somewhere).

I had to make myself put the book down to do other things after the section on what causes the Aurora Borealis. The book is so well put together in every aspect - informational, visual, pacing....I can hardly wait to get back to it after work today. Although I knew Svalbard existed before finding your channel, because of the global seed vault, it was a nebulous concept. Following your channel turned it into a vibrant place on the Earth. And, already, your book is broadening that vibrancy. I was quite astonished, for instance, to read that the majority of non-Nordic inhabitants are from Thailand and the Philippines. Do you know why that is? I'm sure it's for a very intriguing reason. Super congratulations! I already plan to purchase two more copies - one for a friend I know will enjoy it, and one for a local secondary school library. This school has a dynamic climate science course. Your book will join the other outstanding book I donated called, "Where the World is Melting" by Ragnar Axelsson. Both books are brilliant in bringing the natural artic worlds to life, and aren't necessarily known to mainstream libraries...at least not yet. Being on the NY Times best seller list should bring the attention your book deserves - hooray! Hopefully, it will also bring a significant boost to your YouTube channel, as well. :)
