Added 2024-10-22 19:25:54 +0000 UTCToday, the afternoon light was absolutely breathtaking. It’s hard to believe that by the end of this week, we’ll be witnessing our final sunset here on Svalbard. The thought feels surreal, knowing that soon the sun will disappear below the horizon for months, leaving us in the soft glow of the polar night.
Even though it happens every year, it always manages to take me by surprise. One day, it’s as if we just wake up and the daylight is gone—haha! But not in a bad way at all. I welcome the polar night and look forward to the unique beauty it brings. For now, I’m soaking up these last golden days, enjoying every moment of the sun’s rays before they disappear for the season 🩵
And also… HOW CUTE IS GRIM?! 🥹
