Today I hypothesize about why billionaires do what they do and why trying to influence public spending and discourse so much.

It's a hyperbolized speech. Benign websites won't be accessing your home folder, but if malicious JavaScript wanted to, they could easily abuse that access because Firefox isn't properly sandboxed, especially on Linux. This might have improved in the past year, Chrome consistently wins security tests across the board.

2023-04-23 18:13:21 +0000 UTCYou recently mentioned in a Podcast episode that on Linux, Firefox basically gives every website you visit access to the Home Folder. I couldn't find anything about that online. Where did you get that information from, and can you elaborate on this a bit further, cause It sounds pretty scary to me. I use Firefox on a daily basis. If what you are saying is true, I will ditch this browser in no time.
