BTW--I have the IKEA Hemnes day bed that you mention and I highly recommend it (though note, assembly is very annoying). In the US model, it forms very a large bed for two people (king sized) as well as a single bed for one--or you can use it as a couch. In the large bed configuration, the mattress is spread out in a single layer, which is very thin & uncomfortable--however, the Hemnes won't hold a deeper mattress. A friend gave me a good hack: acquire an inexpensive air mattress (like the kind used for camping) that matches up with the dimensions for the larger bed configuration (I got one from Walmart for about $30). When you need a bed for two, inflate the air mattress, then stack on the foam mattress layer on top of it--and finally add your bedding. When the large sleeping surface is not used, you can store the mattress & pump in one drawer, sheets in the second drawer and other bed stuff in the third drawer. This makes for a very comfortable (and inexpensive) sleeping surface for two--and lets you hide it when not using the bed for two people.

Remember Christoffer said he would have to think about anchoring their boat good in case of severe winds. Well, that’s what I understood anyways.

Get a throw or two that combines the rug and sofa cover colors to tide you over until you can order one the color you want. Do the same for the throw pillows and I think it will be fine. Have fun! 💕
