Weekly Inquiry 170: Three D

The production of the Monthly tale already began, the next batch of Shoebox captions will be up tomorrow (you can already see them in the Private gallery of the Discord server!) and this week we will also have another Patreon exclusive entry in the Magic Gizmos’ series we are doing in collab with Posyomismo.
That last one is the inspiration for this week’s inquiry actually: What’s your opinion about 3D renders?
I like all types of art, or most of them at least, is always fascinating interpretations of similar concepts in different mediums. 3D is a more compact kind of art and there’s folks doing truly amazing stuff round there.
But I have seen some people not to fond of it, similar to manips (which may be another good topic for an inquiry) the mayor complaints seems to be about some perceive uncanniness.
What’s your opinion, my lovely patrons? Do you like 3D, renders and such gimmicks or is it too futuristic for your taste?

A big advantage I see is that you can do things with it that are harder to pull with 2D.

2022-05-02 17:34:54 +0000 UTCIt's kind of a mixed bag for me. Some people do it really well but a lot of the time 3D tfs are kind of...mediocre? I'm not sure that's the right word for it though.
