Added 2021-06-03 14:39:55 +0000 UTCWhen I was drawing the last comic I considered having Gwen just as excited about getting the wrong card, but decided having the trick work “flawlessly” was ultimately funnier... but the Lygot left a comment that made me laugh out loud, having expected the smoke to clear and Ronnie to have taken Emily’s place, And that was the hook I needed to use my ‘wrong card’ joke!
I like to assume somewhere Emily just poofed into a nice restaurant, now wearing Ronnie’s slightly too small for her clothes, sitting across from some absolute chad who’s mildly confused why his date went being a blonde to a redhead, but doesn’t want to say anything in case that’s considered rude.
