Cover preview for Core Establishment

Just got my cover for Core Establishment back from my cover designer and I think it looks awesome!  I especially like the little Station Core in the "O" of Core -- a very nice touch :)

Whew, at least I haven't missed it. I've changed jobs again, and although I'm now working from home my current job is definitely not compatible with listening to audio books while I work (as I'm either on the phone or participating in video conferences for 90+% of my work day). If it weren't bad enough I'm even needing to work on the weekends some. I will work on getting some time properly set aside so that I can spend an hour or two most days working through my backlog, but it's going to be a slow process for the next few months. At least now when my back acts up and I can barely walk I can still work.

The box set for Dungeon World is actually coming out soon on audible, as Miles and I were waiting for the right time to release it. I don't believe that the short story will be republished anywhere else, unfortunately

Jonathan Brooks

Dang, after doing a check of my Audible account it doesn't look like I have that box set. so I haven't been able to hear that short story. Kindle says I definitely don't have their version so I can't read it either. Any chance it might get a republish in the relevant book?

Anton Schleef

We'll see! Most of the bonus short story at the end of the Station Cores box set won't become canon, as I was just playing around with the idea, though I'm thinking that the short story at the end of the Dungeon World box set will be more likely to be accurate.

Jonathan Brooks

Oh, so you mean we might even get to see Other Milton again? Depending on how much of that side story you decide to make canon? That definitely helps make the best covers. Relevant to what's in the story, and a hint of what's to come.

Anton Schleef

That's what I was hoping for! Fred will eventually be in the story, though not in this first book; he is either going to be in the 2nd or 3rd, but I haven't decided yet :)

Jonathan Brooks

It definitely brings the feel of it being different from your others. With how it is subtly blending elements of your Dungeon World and Station Core series the cover won't feel off when the reader finds out it's a cross-over, especially with The Milton involved, even if Fred isn't.
