Yeah, at least one reader caught that Lance loses his shorts between the first and last panels of the last comic, so of course Karen snatched them during the fight. He does manage to get the last laugh, though, thanks to Morty catching on. Love the touch of the Sudowoodo settling back down into the ground after the battle and returning to their clever ruse of pretending to be a tree. That was entirely added by Martin when he threw the coloring onto this one. Yeah, Karen was a fun name; Dark is a really fun type and it always annoys me how it's never included in lists of Gyms, so wanted to make sure Lance fought a Dark-Type leader on his imitation gym run. That gives Lance 2 wins for his run, and back-to-back too. Given Karen and Falkner were both based in Lance's home-region of Johto/Kanto, I'm curious if anyone has any guesses to the next type-and-expert he goes up against.
