Added 2024-12-20 10:38:22 +0000 UTCHeheh... Yeah, like we mentioned, with the comic deliberately going in a cartoony direction, we naturally wanted to get some good slapstick in there as well. Poor Erika naturally takes a few bumps from this, in particular from Mom checking up on her. That plus the extra-elastic nature of her diaper.... Yeah, this was a fun one to draw. Speaking of Erika's Mom, we get our first look at Veronica. Probably the single biggest departure design-wise, but also kinda the one that needed it the most? Her original look was pretty crummy and this new one is much nicer. In particular she looks a LOT more like her daughters. Trying to get into the habit of the sound effects. It's hard to do that consistently.

In my opinion, it’s not that it was bad, it was just that the original story had a more simplistic design to it. This one has much more complex features where we can distinguish characters from each other out of just 1 thing. Here I could actually tell it’s the mom. Great page outside of that, and Erika has got a funny moment. lol

2024-12-22 05:33:39 +0000 UTCI mean to be fair it wasn't that the comic did a terrible job with character designs it's just that they were arguably "too simple", not enough of the little details to distinguish the characters outside of hair color and style whereas here there's definitely a "character consistency" while still emphasizing those little details
