Pre-Champ Page 4-1 (Nest)
Added 2024-10-04 08:18:05 +0000 UTCHeheh... Now that Lance's goal of taking on regressed Gym Leader is established, it's time for him to battle his first opponent! And since he's from Johto, why not start close to home? I like checking up on what each person is doing since they were regressed, and apparently Falkner's dad Walker has returned to run the gym, and Falkner is happy just being a little boy with his dad taking care of him. Falkner talked about his dad a lot in the games, and much of his dialog is written so it's ambiguous if the guy's dead. He only showed up in the Manga. Which, because the manga is in black and white, meant Martin actually had to come up with his color scheme. Really dig the result, just looks extra cool. ^^ A lot of thought went into who would be a good Type Expert for each of the Pokemon Types for him to go up against, and Flying had a few hard choices. Skyla and Kahili were both major contenders, but since I wanted to start Lance's journey in Johto (don't worry, we see trainers from all regions), it made sense to go with him first. Plus I kinda need to grab boy-trainers when I can since there are a lot more girl ones that are fun to regress than boy ones.
