Still My Hero, Always My Hero

The final chapter of My Hero Academia dropped today. I read it a few hours ago. ..... It's good. It's hard for me to sum up how much I've enjoyed the series, but I've been following the manga this entire time to the conclusion and the final result has made me very contented. The show always managed to hit a very particular itch, and resonated deeply. There have been some very major highs that make me so happy and impressed to watch, and there have been incredible low points that almost made me tap out... But I never did. I stuck with the series and I'm very happy I did. It's just something that gives me the warm fuzzies sitting here looking back. Way, way back, before Season 2 of the anime had come out, we actually doodled up a basic picture of some cast members; the idea for the picture was that they'd be younger, waiting in line to get changed. To finally celebrate the series wrapping up we chose to re-visit it, with them now their proper ages from the actual show. This was a very empowering picture to do. The original was good for the time but comparing the two... it really hammers in just how far we've come. How much our artwork has improved, and will continue to improve. https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/114208646 A major theme of the manga was how you can always improve yourself as a person, no matter how crummy you think you are. You think you're past redemption? You think you're a bad person? You think you're weak, incompetent, and nothing in your life will ever improve? You're wrong. It won't always be easy or fair, but nothing is beyond hope. Heroism and improvement can come in many forms, sometimes just as simple as reaching out a hand to someone. You too, can become a hero. Go Beyond. PLUUUUUUSSSSS ULTRA!

Adorable little throwback piece! Hard to believe it's been so long. Great work!

Daaaang, quite a commitment and a real show of improvement. Didn’t stay in like you guys, but good to hear it ended strong. And impressive work, especially compared to how far you guys have come.
