We're starting to get sounds in for items and actions. You'll hear footsteps and jumps and throws. The orb has become more terrifying, if that was possible. Each airport has a secret area, and those will be filled with content - or already have content, in the case of the pirate cove.
But yeah. The big milestone this time around is that even though Krista currently has the voice of a typical dog bark (that's getting fixed in the VERY next build), you can experience your story together from beginning to end, and the game will roll credits. Then, you'll be free to continue playing the game in its post-credits state.
It's the hardest writing I've ever done. I hope it's among my best - and that you come to care for Krista as much as I did.
Some things to keep in mind, whether you're a new player or a long-time Dog Fan:
- Gates open about 90 minutes before boarding time. If your dogs aren't there, you need to bend the fabric of time. If you've bent the fabric of time properly and they still aren't there, you've run into a bug, and I'm sorry. Send me an email or direct message.
- There's now a spray can in the game (currently thrown into the vending machine for testing purposes). Pick up a can of paint and make the world your canvas.
- Dogs can be modified when you throw items at them, or use appropriate items! Throw a tennis ball at a dog to get them FIRED UP! Wave your wand at a cat to make them MAGICAL! Fulfill quests with a new interaction type, and generally have a good time interacting with the pets around you!
- Using items incurs effects. Drink sodas to advance time. Drink coffees to advance even more time. Drink a giant coffee in conjunction with other drinks if you want to endure the full consequences of your sins and miss every flight you ever had. Stay tuned for more things that do things, because we're sure adding 'em, and refining them over time.
